Elimination of Existing Algae Growth

This product is highly effective in controlling and eliminating black and green algae infestations in pools and spas. It is best used when the pool or spa is not in use. For optimal results, follow these steps:

1. Preparation: Turn off the filter and pump before application and keep them off for at least 8 hours after treatment.
2. Application: Brush the algae spots on walls and the bottom of the pool or spa with a recommended algae brush. Then, sprinkle this product directly over the affected areas. Use approximately 16 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water or 3/4 to 1 ounce per 500 gallons for spas. For severe algae growth, the dosage may be doubled.
3. Post-Treatment: After application, brush the algae spots again and vacuum the debris to waste.

• Superchlorination: To maintain water quality, swimming pools and spas should be superchlorinated every 7-10 days when not in use, after rain or dust storms, during hot weather, or whenever the water appears cloudy or floating algae is present. Broadcast 7 1/2 to 15 ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water over the deepest end of the pool. For spas, use 3/8 to 3/4 ounces per 500 gallons, spreading evenly over the water surface.
